Key Stage 2 visit to PGL.
Holy Trinity School, London visited Oakridge last week. Great weather and lovely to meet some new friends. Holy Trinity, we loved having you to visit and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Here are some photos of the day. Do leave comments if you wish! They will not appear immediately but usually within 24 hours.

We’ve been looking at friction as part of our science topic on forces and decided to take advantage of the conditions outside! Children first carried out an investigation into which types of surfaces produce the greatest resistance and friction. They then used this to help them with their challenge; to design a sledge to carry the Oakridge School bear, Ted or his partner Tedina, the furthest distance (safely) through the snow.
We’ve been busy in Class 2 with our hot glue guns! How NASA get by without our help normally we just can’t imagine.
We hope you enjoy viewing our creations as much as we enjoyed making them.
A fascinating day of interactive experiments, astronomy, aerodynamics and model making.
Lots of photos available so click the “Continue reading” link below to see them on their own page.
Here are some pictures of Class 2 displays taken during the 2008/2009 year.
Please note that we have included the full size versions of these pictures so if you view as a slideshow or as individual images rather than the thumbnails below you may have to wait for a while on slower internet connections.
