Dear Parents,

Following a successful few months of football club we are planning on ending the season in time for the May half term.  This will mean that the last date for football club will be Monday 23rd May.  A huge thank you to Mr Miles and James Hemming for their support (and skill!).

Kind Regards,

Lara Burtwell

On Monday our Year 3s and 4s went to Stratford Park for the last cross-country meet of the season. Yet again, all of our runners received good positions. In eights place for the year 3 girls is Zoe Gibb. For the year 3 boys, Ollie Gray is 52nd. In third place for the year 4 girls, Libby Dickenson, in eight place Esme Heath and finally for the year 4 boys, Ed Priestly and Seb Newton came 22nd and 23rd. On Tuesday the year 5 and 6 races took place, also with good results. The year 5 runners were given the chance to run in the year 6 race which our runner did. If you came in the top twelve for the year 6 race you would be chosen to run for the Stroud District team. Hester Miles (year 5) achieved this by coming sixth and Beth Ratcliffe got a personal best coming in in 23rd place.

Every Monday after school some of KS2 and KS1 go up to the village hall and do some training like running around the field and stretching. After that we play some matches.

At 4 O’clock a man called James comes and does a match with the people in KS1 and Mr Miles does a match with KS2 but before that we play some games.

Recently, Bisley joined us for a training session and our picture got into the paper!

We are very excited to be entering a team in the Riddiford Cup 6-a-side tournament at Thomas Keble School on Friday 11th March.
