School Association

Hello and welcome to the Oakridge School Association (OSA).   We are a group of parents who raise funds for the School to facilitate extracurricular activities for the children.  Our main fund raiser is the annual May Revels held on the village green at the beginning of May.  It’s a fun event with a theme chosen by the children and includes the crowning of a May Queen, lots of stalls, games, dancing and food.   In recent years we have enjoyed Scottish Reels, Spanish Flamenco, Bugsy Malone with his gansters and molls, World War II tanks and Indian Bhangra music.  We have also held horse and frog racing evenings (not real frogs!), skittles evenings and raffles.

The money we raise pays for many things including an annual trip to the theatre for the children.  We assist with the cost of swimming lessons and first aid courses, educational trips and music tuition.  Every year the OSA cooks a Christmas lunch for the children, staff and Govenors.

The OSA welcomes new parents and friends of the School.  It offers a wonderful opportunity to get to know everybody and although our purpose is to raise funds for the School we are also a sociable bunch – it’s not all work….we have a laugh whilst we’re doing it!

From admin: If anyone would like to send content to webs@oakridgeschool.org.uk then we’ll see what we can do. Please note that video content will likely be hosted on youtube and embedded into this website. The experience will be the same (better because youtube has more capacity) and privacy is no different but some people get nervous about youtube for no reason.
