The Church
“The school is simply wonderful. Wonderful teachers. Wonderful kids. Wonderful surroundings.”
As a Church of England school, our curriculum planning is underpinned by Christian values, but we encourage understanding of all faiths, cultures and societies, as well as our own. Our close links with the local church help pupils with their social, moral and spiritual development.
The school is a Voluntary Aided Church of England School, within the Bisley Benefice and the Gloucester Diocese. And this is why the school is called Oakridge Parochial School.
At the end of each term we invite all parents to the church, where they can see the children share their work – showing artwork, reading stories they have written, playing musical instruments or singing songs – and reflect on their recent achievements.
